For the majority of my life,
I followed the traditional, linear career path. I dreamed of moving to San Francisco, working in the fashion industry, and climbing my way up the corporate ladder. After fifteen years of experience working in retail environments and headquarters for major global brands, I was well on my way, and then abruptly realized I didn’t actually want to be there anymore.
Leaving the stability of the corporate world was intimidating, but I needed to re-align my values and my career. I quit my job to explore my passions and purpose. I learned more about the importance of sustainable fashion and how to be an advocate for conscious consumerism. I nurtured my gift for styling and scoring “unicorn” pieces at the thrift store.
And eventually, my vintage collection started outgrowing our guest bedroom, and Schipper Vintage was born.
